Who Am I?
I am a follower of Christ, a wife, and a mom. I am a lover of the outdoors, and I have a highly active–easily bored personality. I used to be intimidated by cooking for my family, and the kitchen has commonly been a “pain-point” in my house. I’ve learned so much in these early years of marriage, and I want to be an encouragement to other moms, especially in the little years, who feel like the things they want to do and the home they want to create is out of their reach.

Who Is This Site For?
This site is here for the young moms like me who desire to learn and develop the skills necessary to homemaking and to care well for their families. If you feel lost in your kitchen, overwhelmed by the idea of cooking from scratch, and burdened to provide food security and nutrition to your family on a budget, then I hope you will stick around and learn with me! Let’s get inspired to fill our homes with love, nourishment, peace, and prayer, and to give our best to the family God called us to minister to.
The Vision:
My goal is to provide a practical and inspirational resource for all things “home”. As our society has bought into convenience culture and outsourced many tasks traditionally associated with homemaking, the ideas of cooking from scratch, growing your own food, and centering your family life around the home has become somewhat of a novelty. Many hear the words “from scratch” or “homemade” and think of it as something unique that they can’t do themselves. They get intimidated by the idea of providing healthy food to their families. They believe that eating a natural diet would mean sacrificing their favorite foods and that healthy = bland. I have felt this resistance in myself. However, as I started to force myself to learn and take the first steps, I have been surprised at how simple and straightforward this sort of lifestyle is. I discovered that the hardest part of scratch-cooking is getting past the overwhelm and learning the skill.
So I decided to create a resource that would compile tips and home-education in a simple, straightforward way. Because although it is not easy, it does not have to be complicated!
