How to make homemade catalina dressing with simple ingredients!

This Catalina dressing is so easy to make yourself at home. All it involves is combining all the ingredients and blending until they are emulsified. You can do this very simply with an immersion blender, but a regular blender will do if you prefer that. You can also use a whisk, it just might take longer, and it could separate as it is stored.

The ingredients and swaps

Tomato Paste- This is basically the base for the sauce. You can swap it out with ketchup for very similar results.

Olive Oil- You can swap this with avocado oil. Both of these oils have good flavor that is not overpowering in the sauce.

Red wine vinergar- You can swap this with apple cider vinegar to give the tangy zest that catalina dressing is known for.

Honey- You can swap this with sugar if you need to. This sweetens the sauce.

Worcestershire sauce, paprika, onion powder, and salt- These seasonings give the sauce the flavor you are going for and blend well together. You can adjust the ratios of these to your taste preference.

Preparing and storing

Prepare this sauce by simply combining all the ingredients together.

Blend/whisk until the sauce is fully emulsified. It should be smooth and creamy throughout.

Enjoy this simple homemade sauce over salads, as a marinade, or in your favorite recipes.
